Training Programs

10-Week Summer Internship (April - June)

Summer internship programme aims at providing students of management an opportunity to compare the theoretical and conceptual understanding of basic management and functional areas of management with the real-life situation in a corporate context.

As a partial requirement for the completion of the course each student has to choose a company with the help of a faculty guide by the end of February. Once the student is placed, a training protocol will be developed in consultation with the person responsible for training.

They will work for 8-10 weeks during summer vacation.
The trainee is expected to explore the organization and its activities through observation, interaction, interviewing, focused group discussion and also by performing the tasks assigned by the company. Organization charts, manuals and handbooks can be used as learning sources.

The student trainee would use the structural aspects of the organization, the managerial processes and the functional outcomes as framework for observation, analysis and reporting. Each student must submit the report in the prescribed format and defend himself in the oral board of examination (Viva)

Placement Training

The placement training programme is designed to prepare students for recruitment processes by helping them build confidence, improve employability skills, and gain practical exposure to industry expectations. The sessions combine structured workshops, interactive training, and guided practice to support students through every stage of placement preparation.

A resume-writing workshop by Ms Laura Raj helps students craft professional, impactful resumes that reflect their academic and experiential strengths. The session focuses on presentation, language, and alignment with job profiles across sectors.

Since August 2025, Mr Chandrasekaran has been conducting training sessions on aptitude and logical reasoning, equipping students with analytical thinking skills and problem-solving techniques essential for written assessments and online tests conducted by recruiters.

Additionally, Mr Kumaran Chandrasekaran guides students on creating compelling video resumes, combining elements of resume building, aptitude preparation, and mock interviews. This training helps students present their skills with clarity, confidence, and professionalism before stepping into the placement process.
